Thame Bowls Club Weekly News Report No 7
Thame’s Men’s League team played Woodstock on Thursday, 30th May and it proved to be a closely fought but even match which ended all square at 58 shots each. Both sides took 3 league points and cemented Thame’s position in 5th place. The best rink was played by Geoff Roynon, Keith Brooks, John Rawson and skip Ian Rutherford who won 19 – 10.
On Wednesday 5th June, the ladies had an away win at Cheddington by 58 shots to 51. The winning rink was Maggie Gibbons, Jan Sargeant and skip Ann Ashfield with a score of 24 – 15. It was a very close game but enjoyed by all.
The Centenary Match on Wednesday, 29th May and Presidents Day on Saturday 1st June will be subject to separate reports.
